On October 28th IRATI opened the San Sebastian Horror Festival. The movie had two passes that day: one open to the public at 7.30pm and a private one which started at 8.30pm. Both projections were witnessed by a large part of the team, including its director (Paul Urkijo) and the main characters from the movie (Eneko Sagardoy, Edurne Azkarate, Kepa Errasti, among others).
Before the movie was projected, Paul, Eneko and Edurne took the stage to share a few words full of emotion; a very special moment given it was the presentation of the movie in the Basque Country.
Once the movie finalized, the crowd was left visibly moved and applauded for quite a few minutes. The excitement was very close to the surface and it was definitely tangible within the atmosphere of the room. What a moment!

IRATI was presented at the San Sebastian Horror Festival in a press conference held on October 27th. Present in the conference were director Paul Urkijo Alijo, and also the film’s main characters: Eneko Sagardoy and Edurne Azkarate; with delegate producer Manu Paino accompanying them.
During the presser, the casting answered questions from the media, talked about the project and its details and shared smiles with the media, closing it out with a round of applause. A superb welcome the Irati cast received at home!

The awards ceremony for the Sitges Festival took place on Saturday October 15th. There was a lot of hype surrounding IRATI, as it entered the night as one of the favorite movies to clinch an award. After much expectation, it ended up winning two awards: “Grand People’s Choice Award” and also “Best Special Effects Award”.
Paul Urkijo (director) was the one to receive the awards. Visibly emotional after collecting them, he gave a brief but moving speech, which got the crowd on their feet and enthusiastically applaud him.
October 9th was the date set for Irati to be officially presented at the Sitges Festival.
October 9th was the date set for Irati to be officially presented at the Sitges Festival. The projection of the movie took place at 18.15h with a considerable part of the team present, including its director (Paul Urkijo) and the main characters from the movie (Eneko Sagardoy, Edurne Azkarate and Itziar Ituño).
Before the movie was projected, Paul and the rest of team took the stage to share a few words full of emotion; a moment filled with enthusiasm shared by all the people who were there.
After the movie finished, IRATI received possibly the longest and most heartfelt standing ovation from all movies throughout the festival. An occasion all attendees will never forget. From that moment, it was clear for everyone the movie would have its chances to win the fan favorite award.
